The Narconon method treats drug addictions without replacing the addictive substance with another (prescribed) addictive substance. The goal of the program is to help those who are addicted to drugs and alcohol to regain control of their lives. Drug abuse and addiction create problems that break family, friends, and our society apart. They lower a person’s values and bring corruption and destruction to otherwise happy communities. This problem can happen to anyone.
The Narconon program was created in an Arizona State Prison by a former heroin addict named William Benitez. Mr. Benitez used the developments and research of L. Ron Hubbard, an American author and humanitarian to develop the program. The Narconon program began in 1966 with the participation of ten Inmates struggling with chemical dependency. Within one year, that number grew to over one hundred participants and the program expanded into use at other prisons. The first public Narconon facility opened its doors in 1971 and was located in Los Angeles. As of today, the Narconon Drug Rehabilitation Program is in use all over the world! There are centers in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Nepal, Russia, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Canada, Sweden, Switzerland, Australia, Ghana, South Africa, Egypt and across the United States.
Narconon Colorado helps provide individuals with a way to conquer their addictions and find happiness in their lives once again. The hope is that they will live stable and sober lives once they have completed the program. This applies to every individual no matter what level of severity their past experiences include.
